PROJECT BROADWAY

Another Avenue of Performing: “Curtain up! Hit the lights!” What exciting words these are when they are ringing in the ears of the awaiting performers, ready to spring onto the stage with every ounce of skill and energy they can gather! The theater experience for children can play a major role in the nurturing of personal growth as kids discover their growing self-confidence and self-esteem.
Furthering Our Mission: Kids Unlimited Institute of the Arts has developed a new theater program in accordance with the furthering its mission of providing professional high-quality theatrical experiences to help young people develop dignity, character and a sense of belonging through the performing arts. The ultimate goal being to provide children with the tools they need to succeed in life.
Success In Life: We know that some of our performers have gone on to have successful careers in the performing arts. What is even more important to us are the 99% of our performers who will go on to greater success in life because of their time with Kids Unlimited. Theater is one of the vehicles we can use to build the skills needed for success as they travel the road towards adulthood. The applause, the ovations, the accolades and the smiling faces are the bonuses our performers receive along the way. Our approach is that everyone who auditions for a show makes the cast and performs on stage. We don’t believe that the path to greater self-confidence begins with the message, “you’re not good enough to be in the show.” We cast every child in the role or part that we feel will best suit their skills and will best build their confidence and character.
